Most animals find car rides, trips to the vet, and meeting with strangers stressful. And if your pet is sick or healing, the last thing you want to do is get them all worked-up unnecessarily. Since one of the main goals of animal Reiki is to reduce physical and emotional stress, you may want to consider opting for a distance Reiki session.
Distance Reiki is like a “telehealth” appointment at the energetic level.
You might wonder how I can send Reiki remotely. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words, Rei & Ki, meaning universal life force energy. Reiki practitioners interact with this life force energy (light energy, specifically) to bring balance, relaxation, and well-being to clients.
If you think back to high school physics, the speed of light is really fast (299 792 458 m/sec to be exact!) and this speed is absolute. Length (or distance), on the other hand, is relative. Without getting too physics-y, If you could travel at the speed of light, the starting point and ending point of your journey would actually be the same point. You wouldn’t need to travel at all! This is how I like to think of distance Reiki. Even if I am located 1000 km away from you and your pet, it is as though we are in the same room. Reiki energy is light energy… and so it behaves as such.
How does a distance Reiki session work?
Typically before the session, you will complete an intake and consent form. On the form, you can detail anything that you would like me to address in the Reiki session with your pet. For example, if your dog recently had hip surgery, you can let me know that this is an area of the body where you would like me to focus. I will also ask you to submit a recent photo of your pet, because this helps me to connect to the animal energetically.
Next, I will remotely send Reiki to your pet. Clients don’t need to have their pet do (or not do) anything special because Reiki can be administered regardless of what the animal might be up to. Yup, they can even be pooping! 😆
I normally complete the full remote Reiki treatment for your animal right before I call you. However, if you prefer to indicate a time when you know your pet will be sleeping or relaxing, I can send Reiki to them at that specific time. The animal-portion of the distance Reiki session lasts about a half hour to 45 min, but you only need to be available to speak with me for about 15 minutes after I have already worked with your pet. In this call, I will let you know how the treatment went and share any details I found during the session.
That’s it! I only need about 15 minutes of your time whenever it’s convenient for you (this is the time you will be choosing on the booking page) and your animal never needs to leave the comfort of its home.
